The patterned pink dial is inspired by sakura-kakushi, a phenomenon observed in northern Japan after the cherry blossoms flower but before the region’s cold weather fully gives way to the warmth of spring. On occasion, one can observe pale pink cherry blossoms concealed within a gentle layer of snow, beautifully expressing the fluidity of the seasons.
