The performance and sports car subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz has been a partner of IWC since 2004. The 41-millimetre case, the crown and pushers are crafted from grade 5 titanium, an alloy which is around 45 percent lighter than steel and remarkably rigid. The case features a brushed finish with polished details on the horns. An outstanding functional feature of the watch is the ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale, which allows the wearer to measure the average speed in relation to the distance travelled. Matching the polished black ceramic bezel, the model features a black dial with a glossy finish. The recessed totalizers, the hands and the applied indices and numerals in blackened nickel, filled with Super-LumiNova®, provide additional depth and ensure excellent night-time readability
